CAPÍTULOS

I. DOS OCTUBRE

The project included a scenery installation in the second yard of the Mexico City Museum, which during the 1940’s acted as a residence for many families that came from other places in the country. Thus, the installation was a reconstruction of the residence and those surrounding the place, which are still active. This reconstruction was both material and emotional: the architectural shapes of the spaces were exposed, the archive linking the history of the country’s industrialization with the housing and survival ways of the population was exhibited, and lastly, the emotional reconstruction was based on the testimony of former and actual neighbors from the residences.
